Next Up Hero: A Fun-Filled 2D Action Adventure Game
Next Up Hero, developed by Digital Continue, is a 2D action-adventure game that is driven by a community continue. The game is designed to be played with friends, where you take turns beating the unfairly difficult game. The game is set in the Spiral Shards, where you must fight the Ceaseless Dirge. When you die, you leave behind an Echo of your hero on the battlefield, which can be resurrected by the next hero in line as an AI battle companion.
The game features nine heroes with different weapons and abilities to suit your playstyle, including swords, rocket launchers, laser turrets, bongo drums, and boomerangs. The game also incorporates community feedback to improve characters, gameplay, weapons, attacks, and enemy types for the final game.
Next Up Hero also features Champions Trials, where heroes who complete feats of greatness will gain entry into a monthly contest. You will need to work together with the community to solve puzzles, defeat challenging enemies, and unlock new rewards. The game supports several gamepads, including Logitech RumblePad™ 2, Microsoft® Xbox® 360 Controller for Windows® (Wired), and SONY® PS4 DUALSHOCK®4 wireless controller (Wired).
